Barcelona offer Umtiti, Semedo to Tottenham for Ndombele

Barcelona have offered two players to Tottenham in an attempt to sign Tanguy Ndombele, talksport.com reports.
The France midfielder has failed to impress since joining Tottenham for a club record £55million fee from Lyon last summer.
However, Ndombele remains a reported target for Barcelona, with the LaLiga giants keen to add more physicality to their midfield.
Sky Sports claim Barcelona are unable to afford Ndombele due to the coronavirus pandemic, so have offered Spurs the chance to sign right-back Nelson Semedo and centre-back Samuel Umtiti this summer.
Inter Milan target Semedo has been a regular fixture in Barcelona’s defence this season, while Umtiti has struggled with injuries in recent years.
Spurs are believed to be in the market for a right-back, with the club failing to replace Kieran Trippier, who joined Atletico Madrid for £20m last year.
Ndombele has completed just one 90-minute match since Jose Mourinho succeeded Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham boss last November.
The 23-year-old was hooked off at half-time in a 1-1 draw at Burnley and publicly criticised by Mourinho last month.
The Portuguese coach said: “I have to say he has had enough time to come to a different level.
“I know the Premier League is difficult, and some players take a long time to adapt to a different league.
“But a player with his potential has to give us more than he is giving us, especially when you see how Lucas [Moura], [Giovani] Lo Celso and those players are playing. I was expecting more in the first-half from him.
“Many fantastic players in their first season, in a new country, for different reasons they struggle. There have been many examples of that.
“He’s a player with great talent. He has to know he has to do much better and I know I cannot keep giving him opportunities to play because the team is much more important.”
Ndombele’s Tottenham future was thrown into more doubt when he was put through a public training session by Mourinho in Hadley Common, Barnet earlier this month.
Mourinho reportedly knocked on the player’s front door to ask him to go for a run, despite being urged by the UK government to follow social distancing rules.
The impromptu training session is alleged to have led Ndombele to consider his future at the club amid Barcelona interest.
