Al Hilal beat Al Ahli 9-0 to claim first 2026/2027 Saudi Women’s Premier League win
Super Falcons’ star, Asisat Oshoala, was on fire on Friday as Riyadh’s Al-Hilal thrashed hosts Al-Ahli 9-0 in the second week of the 2026/2027 Saudi Women’s Premier League at the Al-Ahli Stadium, Jeddah.
Oshoala ran the first half, her decisive passes teeing up four goals in a row as Al Hilal recorded their first win of the season. She found Manar Al-Anzi in the fourth minute, then picked out forward Al-Bandari Mubarak in the 20th, 22nd and 30th minutes. She got on the scoresheet herself in the 45th, netting Al-Hilal’s fifth.
Moroccan forward Ibtissam Jraidi nearly made her mark too. Al-Hilal won a penalty in the 12th minute, but Al-Ahli’s English goalkeeper Claudia Moan saved it, denying the Morocco star a goal against her former club.
Al-Hilal kept their foot on the throat throughout the second half. Al-Bandari Mubarak made it six, and her fourth of the game, in the 62nd minute. Morocco’s Ibtissam Jraidi then punished her former club in the 78th minute, a corner deceiving English goalkeeper Claudia Moan, before Oshoala grabbed her second and Al-Hilal’s seventh in the 84th minute. Ghanaian midfielder Alice Kusi completed the rout with the ninth against her old side in the 89th minute.
On 75 minutes, Portuguese coach Luís Filipe Andrade turned to talented forward Dana Al-Dhahyan, top scorer last season in the Saudi Premier League for U17 girls 2025/2026. She found Al-Ahli’s net in the 80th minute, but the assistant referee flagged her offside. Her wait for a first senior goal in the Saudi Women’s Premier League goes on.
Victory handed Al-Hilal their first three points of the new campaign after last week’s stumble against Al-Ittihad (1-3), lifting them up to second place provisionally. Al-Ahli stay sixth on the same number of points.
