Bayelsa State Governor-Elect, David Lyon, paid homage to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in his residence in Asokoro, Abuja on Monday.
The visit came a few hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Lyon of the APC the winner of the governorship election held in the state on Saturday.
The governor-elect was accompanied by the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva.
Sylva is a former governor of the state and also a leader of the party in the state.
Tinubu’s spokesman posted a photograph from the visit on his Facebook page on Monday evening.
Lyon had earlier paid a similar thank-you visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
