Organisers promise top-notch entertainment as SV Awards holds tomorrow
The Organising Committee of this year’s Sportsville Special Recognition Award has said that it is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a successful event tomorrow.
Members of the committee, led by Adekunle Salami, held the last pre-event meeting where they discussed details of the preparation and addressed anticipated issues.
Speaking on the awards after the pre-event meeting yesterday, Salami said: “I can say with all confidence that we are set for another first class award ceremony come April 3.
“It’s important we take this year’s ceremony to a higher dimension from what we had last year and that is why we needed this meeting to fine-tune preparations.
“Having heard from my members and the Chief Executive Officer of Sportsville Communication Services Ltd, Frank Ilaboya, I want to assure our awardees and guests of another thrilling experience on April 3.
“All the necessary plans for a top class hosting have been put in place and we pray to God to crown our efforts with success.”
One of the nominees for the ceremony, Dr Terry Eguaoje, also yesterday assured the organisers of his presence, same with Rotimi Pedro and Kingsley Awodi.
Eguaoje, who spoke from his U.S. base, said he has already booked his flight ticket to Nigeria. “My brother, I am just calling to confirm again my coming for the ceremony. As I speak with you, I have just booked my flight for the trip,” the president of Football Coaches of all nations (FCAAN), said.
Rotimi Pedro and Kingsley Awodi, also, like Dr Eguaoje, reassured the organisers of their physical attendance.
The event holds at the Eko Club, Surulere, Lagos, tomorrow.
