Mfon Udoh, Kwambe, Ayagwa join USL Championship side
USL Championship side FC Tusla have signed three Nigerian players with caps for the Super Eagles, pending league and Federation approval, informs the official website of the USLC.
The standout player acquired by the American second-tier club is the record scorer in a single Nigeria Professional Football League season with 23 goals, Mfon Udoh.
Midfielder Raphael Ayagwa and defender Solomon Kwambe have also been added to FC Tusla roster for the 2020 season.
The 27-year-old Udoh has netted over 100 career goals in all competitions and lists Enyimba of Aba, Akwa United and Calabar Rovers among his previous clubs.
Kwambe has played competitive matches for the Super Eagles and was a member of the squad to the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.
Aged 26, the fullback previously turned out for Plateau United, Lobi Stars, Warri Wolves and Sunshine Stars.
The 21-year-old Ayagwa has played abroad before for Lillestrom, for whom he made three appearances in the Norwegian Eliteserien, and wore the colours of Plateau United and Lobi Stars in his homeland.
