Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has joined the call for a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction in 2023, saying it was the only way to assure Ndigbo that they are a vital part of the country.
Speaking at the 81st birthday celebration of four-time senator, Chief Arthur Nzeribe, at his Haven of Peace country home, Oguta, Imo State, Iwuanyanwu echoed Nzeribe’s call for the restructuring of Nigeria, saying the current arrangement did not give all the region enough room for development.
Earlier, chairman of the occasion and former vice president of City Bank, Chief Austin Obigwe, had described Nzeribe as a reliable partner, who played prominent role in the political development of the country.
